Joel is a Certified Financial Planner ™ who spent six years at Sanibel Captiva Trust Company, where he began as an Investment Technology Associate and worked his way up to Vice President-Portfolio Manager. He has earned several designations, including Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®), Certified Financial Planner (CFP®), Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA®), and Certified Private Wealth Advisor (CPWA®). He received a bachelor’s degree in finance at Florida Gulf Coast University.
Joel is originally from California but has called Florida his home for over two decades. He and his wife, Bri, relocated to the Sarasota area over 2 years ago and enjoy boating, going to the beach, and fishing in their spare time. He actively contributes to Mote Marine Laboratory & Aquarium on their president’s advisory council and serves as a member of the Finance Committee for the Conservation Foundation of the Gulf Coast.
