Helping People for Over Half a Century

FourThought Private Wealth traces its origins to 1968, when Sam Pinkerton opened an A.G. Edwards office in Venice, Florida. He was later joined in the business by his son Scott, who, along with his team, has helped people in Florida and beyond for more than 50 years answer the critical question, “Am I going to be okay?”

Formula for Success

Previously known as Pinkerton Private Wealth, the business was renamed FourThought to better reflect the firm’s focus on planning and thinking ahead. The word FourThought was selected to express guidance and planning, with the word “four” acknowledging our four financial planning principles, four core values and four-part formula for success:

1

Hire people with talent and purpose and give them the best training available.

2

Equip them with planning tools that are grounded in the reality of today’s markets and foundational truths of human behavior.

3

Through in-depth, personal conversation, work with clients to identify blind spots in their lives.

4

Build plans that address those blind spots and help them know if they will be okay.
